Bureau of Engraving & Printing, Washington

The Bureau of Printing and Engraving is a branch of the Treasury. Here Government Bonds, the National Currency, postage and revenue stamps, military, naval and diplomatic commissions, passports and other Government documents, are printed. It gives employment to about 4,000 people and its average total daily output is between six and seven million dollars in value.
