This beautiful postcard from Hilda to Mr. and Mrs. William Pruter of Davenport, Iowa, wishing them a Happy New Year, was designed by John Winsch in 1911. The card doesn’t have a postmark so I believe it may have been hand delivered.

The 1911 Davenport City Directory has William and his wife, Madeline, living at 1404 Franklin Street.

The 1912 Davenport City Directory lists Madeline as Magdelina.
