Today’s postcard is a companion card to yesterday’s post of Jack Miners Bird Sanctuary. The beautiful beaches and cottages are reminiscent of days long ago spent by the shore.
The card was postmarked 1951 and addressed to Mr. & Mrs. L.M. Colson of Murray, Kentucky. With a little research we find them as Limon Maydock Colson and his wife, Gussie.
1940 United States Federal Census
Limon was a veteran of the First World War and passed away on July 25, 1955. Gussie passed away on July 9, 1975. They are buried at Ledbetter Cemetery, Calloway County, Kentucky.
