Vera Elizabeth Winchester was born on March 10, 1893 in Amery, Polk, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of William W. Winchester and Maggie Ann Gafney.

Vera was listed in the 1900 and 1910 US Census records with her parents. By 1920 she was listed with her husband, Guy Lee Johnson. The 1920, 1930 and 1940 Census records listed Vera and Guy, but no children.

Vera passed away on August 19, 1966 and Guy on March 3, 1977. They were laid to rest in Amery Cemetery, Amery, Polk, Wisconsin.
